Walther Flender Holding GmbH

In collaboration with the agency Echtzeit, the highly complex web-presence of the Walther Flender business group, with its four subsidiary companies, was brought under one TYPO3 roof. The holding company is market leader for toothed belt drives, working in the field of production conveyers, bearings, clamping technology and powder-molded metallurgy – from individually manufactured custom parts, through drive component groups to complete sector-specific solutions. A hierarchically structured navigation system enables quick and easy search and display for all available products of the different Walther Flender group companies.

The website was launched in three languages: English, French and Czech. To create the site, comprehensive adaptations of e-forms and TYPO3 templates were needed to ensure the required functionality while maintaining the Walther Flender corporate design.

In addition, a comprehensive news portal and download zone is integrated into the site. For each of the four business departments, product descriptions and further valuable info is available for download as a PDF. One of th site's particularly attractive highlights is the way the locations of the group's different plants and factories around the world are represented. A specially programmed TYPO3 extension connects a Flash-Animation to the location's coordinates. Just click a location in the animation and the exact address with all necessary contact details is generated in TYPO3 to appear below on the page.
