As the leading provider of Global Language Services, Sajan chose a TYPO3 CMS for the re-launch of its international web-portal. Particular value was placed on the complete integration of translation workflows into the new Content Management System.

Sajan Inc. is the leading provider of Global Language Services and On-Demand translation technology. The company’s core competences lie in the provision of progressive solutions for translation management, including cloud-based technologies.

From its headquarters in Ireland, the company entrusted AOE media with re-designing and ensuring the international standard and reach of its existing website www.sajan.com. In the context of this re-launch, AOE media replaced the formerly static developed website with a license-free solution in TYPO3-Lösung. By integrating Sajans own Translation-Management-System, GCMS, into the TYPO3 Workflow, a completely new web-based translation solution was created.

The major advantage of directly embedding Sajan’s GCMS is clearly the seamless integration of translation processes. Conventional solutions usually envisage the export of the content to be translated as XML data to the translation agency, where it is translated and then re-imported into the CMS. Only at this point is it then possible to style and correct the translated result before the language goes live online. By directly integrating the TYPO3 backend into the GCMS, not only is one spared the cumbersome manual export and import, but preview of the translated content is also dramatically simplified. Meanwhile, changes not specifically stored in the Translation Memory no longer go missing.

Particularly noteworthy is that when reworking a text that is already in the system, only those passages that are to be re-translated traverse the translation workflow. Thus a continuous translation workflow is ensured at every step in the process. Here too the solution delivers significant cost savings over conventional full translation.
