RUCO Druckfarben A. M. Ramp & Co GmbH

In cooperation with Gerasch Communication, Darmstadt, Germany, AOE media realized a completely new TYPO3 Internet presence for RUCO Druckfarben. The company that began by making black ink for dollar notes has been developing printing colors for the most diverse uses for over 150 years, from conventional inks to the latest UV-hardened color systems. The new web portal was conceived as a comprehensive product platform, offering a wealth of information on the entire range of RUCO colors. More detailed information for registered customers and retailers is available via a site-integrated extranet.

Starting from the Gerasch-designed site layout, TYPO3 was installed onto the target server, after which the existent content was migrated and the necessary templates created. The site can be loaded in three languages: German, English and Chinese. In addition to its attractive design and the optimized navigation of this multi-lingual site, extensions were programmed and implemented to accommodate the special functions: thus the site includes its own integrated search engine to speed up the researching of specific pages and documents. The site also includes a news and press area. One particular highlight is a customized extension to hand-mix colors onsite.

An extranet has been integrated into the site for registered customers and dealers; it contains downloadable documents with detailed information on RUCO and its products. The extranet also included a forum, on which professional RUCO users can exchange tips with one another.
