AOE media assists the Australian branch of "Doctors without borders" with the relaunch of their website. "Doctors without borders", or Médicins Sans Frontières (MSF) Australia is part of the world's leading humanitarian aid organization for medical emergency assistance after natural disasters or in war zones.
The website - which has just recently gone live - especially impresses with a highly intelligent presentation of the detailed information about the work of the non-profit organization MSF Australia. Through an exceptional and intelligent search functionality via keywords, filetypes, issues or countries - as well as several TYPO3 extensions developed by AOE media especially for this purpose, it is now possible to display additional content related to the information and the document the user has selected. This enables users to find content completely independent of its storage location.
In the second phase of the project, a payment functionality for donations, as well as interactive forms for applications will be added.
Supporting the important communication efforts of MSF during this conceptually- and technically-interesting project gave us great pleasure. For this reason, and also in a move to support a non-profit organization in its efforts to alleviate suffering, we took on 50 percent of the project costs ourselves in lieu of a donation.
