Online Editor/Writer

Your responsibilities:

Journalistic representation of complex technical content for web and (occasionally) print publishing (brochures, flyers etc.);
The editing and ongoing updating of our website;
Intensive contact and coordination with the managing director and project managers for all their editorial needs;
Monitoring and evaluation of website visitor behavior (hits, page views, preferences etc) and the resultant optimization of content and, where necessary, structure. SEO/SEM;
Positioning of AOE media-related subjects in Social Media, blogs and forums etc.;
Drawing-up of communication and PR concepts;
Taking over certain organizational and administrative tasks, such as coordinating translators.

Qualifications:

You are a graduate in communications design, media studies, journalism or publishing, Germanic languages or related subjects, or you have advertising, public relations or marketing talent and experience or the appropriate qualifications;
You have several years experience as an online editor, advertizing or PR copywriter for complex documentation requiring explanation, such as online investments or the provision of services in the fields of IT, software development or Internet services;
You are well aware of the importance and role of the Internet and you possess a sound technical mind;
You have a talent for writing, with a sure touch and a creative and entertaining style that is suited to the web;
You are highly creative and communicative, capable of working on your own initiative, with a well developed sense of responsibility and care for the quality of your work;
You are conversant with the usual office software such as Microsoft Office or OpenOffice and also know, ideally, how to use the relevant web production tools from Adobe Creative Suite;
Yours is an open and friendly personality;
You have excellent German and English skills.
