Townshend International School

The Townshend International School is a mixed school, accredited by the Czech Education Ministry. Thanks to the AOE managing director's personal connection to the Townshend School, AOE media volunteered the relaunch of the www.townshend.cz website free of charge.

The educational curriculum is based on the Townshend Philosophy, which strives to distinguish itself from other schools; not only through its academic quality, but also through its promotion of the kind of ethical, social and personal values most needed by our progressively global civilization. Townshend International School is open to students of all socio-cultural and religious backgrounds, with the fortunate result that the school is currently a haven for more than 60 nationalities.

Founded in 1992 as a charitable, private and independent project, the Townshend International School is an institution whose major inspiration is derived from the writings of the Baha'i Faith and which is named after its founder, the Irish humanist and teacher, George Townshend (1876-1957).
