AOE media - A Portfolio:
Below will you find a small abstract of some of our projects implemented so far. Please keep in mind that 70% of our projects are done through and with other web agencies, and we are usually not permitted to name these projects on our site.
But if you contact us of course we can share with you more information about who is already using our TYPO3 solutions worldwide.
Also please note, that we only launched the English version of our site in 2005, so if you would like to see older project references, please visit the German version!
Global Relaunch strategy of Monier Group (formerly LaFarge Roofing) successfully completed.
In less than 5 months, AOE media successfully implemented a global relaunch strategy for the Monier Group, the world market leader for roofing solutions.
AOE media developed an integrated solution for 24 websites of the Monier Group in 17 languages, using standard, as well as in-house developed TYPO3 extensions. Existing applications were either integrated into TYPO3 or reproduced for integration.
The product catalogue developed in-house empowers Monier with a clear and appealing presentation of several thousand products of the Monier Group. In connection with an image gallery, in which images from reference projects can be categorized by region, product etc., the Monier Group has comprehensive tools at hand for the presentation of their range of products.
The CAD-Finder helps draftsmen and architects to find and download designs of Monier products, an integrated extranet area helps in intensifying and improving customer relations, and by means of a Google Maps integration, visitors can find distributors and vendors of Monier products in their vicinity.
The TYPO3 solution developed for this can be extended easily with further websites and modules, thus flexibly adapting to the dynamic growth of the Monier Group.

Together with our partner agency Gerasch Communcations from Darmstadt, we developed a new internet platform including an anniversary website (5 Happy Years) for the five-year anniversary of the successful new cosmetics company.
Essence Cosmetics is primarily directed at teenagers, so naturally the website was aimed at this target group. There are AJAX chats, raffles with great prizes, e-cards, flash games and many various suggestions and tips in the different stations of the 5 Happy Years world trip.
The greatest challenge was to implement the extremely complicated design into browser-compatible code, which - with flash, transparent PNGs, and alpha layers - turned out to be one of the greatest XHTML challenges of our project history.

For our client DG Verlag (Germany's largest publisher of all state-owned banks), AOE media relaunched their website as well as intranet based on TYPO3 including a large number of highly customised TYPO3 extensions (e.g. indexed_search, tt_news etc.).
For DG Verlag we developed an interface to SAPERION, which enables the TYPO3 indexed_search module to index and search content directly within SAPERION and to even open the results displayed directly from SAPERION. This very powerful interface developed in cooperation with SAPERION provider Laufenberg Computersysteme GmbH & Co KG now enables all DG Verlag staff to open all existing corporate documents straight from the TYPO3 frontend.
SAPERION is one of the marketleaders in Document Managent Software and is used by the DG Verlag for storage and archiving of a majority of their corporate documents.
The DG Verlag is the largest German publisher of bank material - from print to VISA cards, they provide all government-owned banks with material for their daily business. With roughly 450 employees, the DG Verlag created a total revenue of ca. 150 million EUR in 2006.

In direct cooperation with our partner MassMedia Studios in Sydney, Australia, we launched our first Australian TYPO3 project today. Australian-based Mastersoft International, a data-optimisation specialist, launched their new website based on the world's most used OpenSource CMS TYPO3. Based on concepts and designs created by MassMedia and our TYPO3 implementation, the system now runs 100% on TYPO3 in version 4.1.
Special care was given to the strong cross-browser compatibility, which, given the complex layout of the sites, was quite a challenge. In addition, TYPO3's indexed search, tt_news and strong search engine optimisation technologies were drawn upon to make this launch a full success.
Update: The New Zealand version of the site is also now live.
