An initiative to measure pain

Something few patients realize: pain is measureable. In addition, if diagnosed early, permanent chronic pain can be controlled and avoided. By using a so-called "pain scale", a doctor can arrive at an exact diagnosis of the pain being felt by a patient and thus provide effective treatment. The website "www.schmerzmessen.de" has recently undergone its second updated re-launch by AOE media and thus represents a long history of cooperation with us. The site offers a wealth of information on the subject of pain and pain therapy. "Measuring pain" is an initiative of the German Pain League (Deutschen Schmerzliga e.V.) and the German Pain Therapeutics Society (Deutschen Gesellschaft für Schmerztherapie e.V.).

Alongside a news zone and a gallery of photos showing patient-events, this classically structured and designed TYPO3 web-presence also includes a "pain test", whereby visitors complete a questionnaire to let them quickly and easily decide whether they should be seeking medical help as soon as possible. Another of the site's particular highlights is the secure extranet area, protected by DocCheck®, that is solely for the use of doctors and health-care professionals, wherein further information and therapeutic options are presented.
